DigitalThink.com, at the other end of the
spectrum, slants their courses toward a technically
predisposed corporate audience; although anyone can
register. Large companies hire them to customize
courseware. For individuals, Design and Publishing
classes run either $75 or $195. |

for Distance-Education Courses

R1.edu.org is a "gateway and
searchable index for distance-education courses from 28
major research universities in the U.S. All members have
the Research University 1 classification from the
Carnegie Foundation and are members of the Association of
American Universities."
Western Governors University is a "clearinghouse
for distance learning courses from a variety of western
universities. Also offers |
some degrees
and certificate programs of its own but WGU is not yet an accredited
institution."
College Learning.com is a "for profit
business venture that provides a web portal for distance
learning offerings from several hundred colleges and
universities internationally. Students are frequently
charge an extra service fee when enrolling through
College Leaning.com." |
